METODOLOGY USED
CATHERINE project includes two main goals of the project, which concern the development of a new technological solution for high-speed next-generation nano-interconnects (G1) and the development of proof-of-concept nano-interconnect to assess and demonstrate the validity and the exploitability of the proposed new approach to prepare future applied RTD (G2). The two main project objectives will lead to:
§ Two main product deliverables: the multiscale model data-base (MMDB) for nano-interconnect design (P1) and the proof-of-concept nano-interconnect at laboratory level (P2);
§ Four expected results, covering the main four aspects related to the implementation of the project goals: technological processing, modelling for design, experimental testing and demonstration R1-R4).
In order to achieve the goals G1 and G2, CATHERINE workplan is structured in seven workpackages (WP) for a total project duration of 36 months.
The seven WPs are:
WP1: Project management
WP2: Requirements and definitions
WP3: Modelling and simulation
WP4: Fabrication
WP5: Experimental characterization
WP6: Optimization of proof-of-concept interconnect
WP7: Dissemination and exploitation of results
